Compare and Contrast

My video was much more humorous and more enjoyable to watch than the original. After watching the original I actually felt dumber. Unfortunately my internet went out the night the project was due and I had to throw it together at the last minute. I did however like the clips I selected.

Docu Drama

We were assigned to do a semester long project making a movie. As a class we decided on a theme of Discovery Channel for our movies. We as a group chose Man Vs. Wild. There were many successes in our project. The filming was very carefully planned out and we spent a lot of time on it. We also had some killer props, like planes. Side note, Garrison drank his own pee and it was hilarious. The only thing I would change is if I had gone on the first flming excursion and we used my nicer camera.

This is easily one of the best pictures I have ever seen taken with an iPhone. Adapting to the shooting situation is better than any editing I could have done. I shot this with an using High Dynamic Range or HDR. This means my phone took a high exposure, low exposure and medium exposure. This really highlights the tree at the end of my driveway. Editing I just cropped it down a bit and made the tree brighter as well as darkened the surroundings.

Faceless Self Portrait

This picture was a (admittedly) a last minute effort. I was thinking of what I could do for faceless self portrait and had no idea. I glance over at the wall and the answer was starting me in the face the whole time. I whipped out my iPhone, set the camera to front and snapped a beautiful sort of silhouette of me. I the cropped the picture and straightened it as well to give it a more lonely effect.

A Bad Habit

In all honesty coming across this store was pure luck. After taking my “Lunch” picture of the Dimond mall food court I walked up the stairs and was headed out to the parking lot to get in my car and leave. This store caught my eye. I didn’t edit it too much because I thought it really personified a bad habit, gambling. The sign says it all.

Strangers

This picture’s setting is one that is very familiar, South. I have gone to school here for almost 4 years now although I see new faces everyday. I find this interesting because of my involvement in student government class coverage videos many people at south know who I am or at least recognize me from the videos. I took this picture on my iPhone and I had it open the shutter longer than normal for a slight blurring effect. This added anonymity to those strangers in the distance.
